Important Things To Keep In Mind For Storage Of Pecans
After purchasing, unshelled pecans can be kept in a dry, cool place for 12 months without losing their freshness. Shelled pecans should be stored within air-tight containers in the refrigerator or the freezer where they will stay fresh from nine to twenty four months. Frozen Pecans can be thawed and frozen again multiple times with no fear of losing freshness. Shelled pecans should not be kept at room temperature for more than two months. They should certainly not be stored without air-tight containers.
